We are delighted to share that we have won the ‘Innovation and Creativity in Learning’ category for this year’s International School Awards 2023!

A fantastic achievement that recognises RST’s advanced use of AR technology within D&T to support the development of student work. Mr Douglas introduced the AR technology initiative across D&T in both our Prep and Senior school. RST has since embedded AR in the D&T websites for use with students across the many year groups.

The inclusion of AR technology is utilised as a way to honour the usual process of reviewing real-life manufactured designs, which had been disrupted by COVID-19. With the support of AR, our students could virtually test product designs, gaining a much better insight into how effectively they worked in an intended environment. It is an initiative that has altered the landscape of design testing for our D&T coursework!
